A bunch of things are free at Mimic’s Market, so let’s start with the basics
Table Space
Our baseline rule is “when the tables are free, the tables are free”. We don’t charge anything for the space, but there are often scheduled events that take priority for seating. See our Events Page for info. Weekdays 12-5pm are very open.
Water
Bottled Water in the cooler at no charge. Or bring your own bottle, there’s a sink filter in our bathroom.
Board Game Library
In our back room are some shelves with rotating selection of board games that are free to play in-store (space permitting).
Free Games & Game Materials
Drawers of free trading cards at the front of the shop. Please consider donating bulk cards to circulate through the community card pool.
Free Exchange Mimic – A big chest at the front of the shop for dropping off excess or unwanted board games, game accessories, RPG books, miniatures, and anything else for other members of the community to take from.
Free Starter Decks (limited quantity)
From our community bulk card pool, we encourage anyone build starter decks of any game to offer to prospective players.
Decks are currently available for the following games: Altered TCG, Digimon Card Game, One Piece Card Game, Pokémon (short deck).
Free Weekly Events
Monday – Magic: The Gathering – Pauper tournament 6pm
Wednesday – Miniature Painting Workshop 7pm
Thursday – Board games Night 6pm
Saturday – Beginner Dungeons & Dragons (alternating weeks) 1pm
– Magic: The Gathering – Casual Commander 6-10pm (registration required on Events calendar)
