Altered Locals

Come in every Saturday from 12-6pm to play Altered! Learn a new Trading Card Game with the folks at Mimic's Market, try out the 6 unique starter decks, trade cards, build decks and explore the emerging world of Altered!

At 2pm, we'll be organizing players into a simple Local tournament. 3 rounds, best of 3. Players get one pack per win, but everyone takes away at least one!

We'll be tweaking the tournament structure and prizing regularly as we learn what best suits this TCG community.

I (Jay) have been brainstorming a way to "draft" between rounds that I think might work well for Altered. Tentatively called Pick & Play: You crack two packs (with your name on it), take the first picks of 3 cards to keep. After a round, you and your opponent pick 2 cards from each others packs. That could be good for 3 rounds, then most of the best stuff would be picked from all packs and the resulting bulk commons can (maybe) be pooled together for folks to grab something they may need for a deck they're building? Let me know what you think we we might try it out sometime!
