Altered TCG Launch Day!

Folks, Jay and Jae have caught some of the Kickstarter early release product for Altered TCG, fresh out French company Equinox! This is a really interesting trading card game that we’re jumping into with both feet at Mimic’s!

Taking place centuries after a magical calamity where the material world and imaginary world collide, you play as wielders of Alteration magic competing in an expeditionary endeavor to explore and retake the magically twisted landscape by casting spells and summoning “Eidolons,” manifestations of the collective human imagination such as Joan of Arc, Victor Frankenstein, Tanuki spirits, and real-life famously missing pilot Amelia Earhart.

Gameplay is a quick and punchy non-combative race to complete an expedition by playing cards that advance your exploring party through randomized landscapes faster than your opponent. There’s a wide variety of playstyles already on display in the six starter decks (which we have in store free to try out right now!) We’re really excited to see where this game goes over the years.
