Mimic's Market Cards & Games

Mimic’s Market’s inaugural Dungeon Jam! Calling all GMs, designers, or anyone with an idea for a dungeon.

All through December 2025, we are looking to collect unique dungeons from our community that we can feature in our next exploration-focused, “West Marches” style Tabletop Roleplaying Game campaign. We intend for the dungeons to continue to be available in an archive on our website.

Style Guide

Check out an example dungeon by at the bottom of the page!

We want this to be very open-ended. Feel free to express yourself with a dungeon of any purpose, location or structure. A dungeon isn’t just a literal dungeon or a cave, it can be a tower, an open field, a racetrack, a library, a spooky village, anything. They can include any composition of narrative challenges, traps, combats, puzzles, or secrets in any arrangement.

  • Size: Limit to 5 pages in Letter 8.5/11″ format. A dungeon can even fit on one page! (See reference below)
  • Genre: Our campaign is Heroic Fantasy, so modern “real life” or futuristic settings would be difficult to integrate into the world. There is always wiggle room for exceptions, but we are focused on swords & sorcery, monsters & mysteries. While we will not turn away a dungeon that challenges this, it may see less use in this year’s campaign.
  • Content: We intend our campaign to be accessible to all ages. While mature themes and content are welcome contributions, Game Masters will reserve the right to alter or omit elements during play for the safety of players. In our Dungeon library, we will label dungeons “18+” as appropriate.
  • Systems & Stat Blocks: We want the dungeons to be usable in any game or system. Specific enemy stat blocks, difficulty levels for challenges, or anything that requires values tied to a TTRPG system aren’t necessary. We trust a GM who utilizes these dungeons to arrange or improvise the mechanical specifics themselves.
  • One Lore restriction: Our setting in 2026, “Godrend” is a world in which all deities have died or vanished in a mysterious cataclysm. If your dungeon will feature a temple, shrine, cult, anything involving a deity/god/kami/etc, please keep this in mind. The energies, relics, and influences of deities remain active, influential and baked into the landscape, but the intelligent deities behind them are simply not there.

Ownership

Mimic’s Market will not make claim to or profit off of community-made dungeons. We ask creators to keep the original copies of any materials. Please make sure you are credited as desired on your dungeon.

Submission

We’ll begin taking dungeons starting on December 1st and the cutoff is January 1st.

We require all dungeons be submitted in Letter page dimensions (8.5x11in). Physical submissions can be dropped off at Mimic’s Market with staff. Digital submissions can be sent in .pdf format to jayimbrie@mimicsmarket.com.

Resource list

If you’re looking for a hand or a place to start, we’ll be hosting Dungeoneering Workshops on December 6th and 20th at 6pm in Mimic’s! You don’t need to bring anything but your creativity! Here’s also some good links:

  • Cairn dungeon seeds. This is a great free resource and guideline to developing a dungeon. A lot of this was used for the one-page dungeon example below!
  • The Dungeon Diary of Daedalus. A paid booklet. Great information, rolling tables, and example grid rooms.
  • JP Coovert has a patreon full of tons of booklets for drawing dungeons and maps.
  • Do you have other resources for dungeon-making that I should put here? Please send them to me so I can include them! jayimbrie@mimicsmarket.com

Example 1-page Dungeon

Jay made this with the above linked Cairn dungeon seeds! I’m sorry the scan is not great, it just goes to show once you have it finished you should go over the pencil with an ink pen! 5 rooms, some combat, some puzzle, and some funky loot.
