UNRAVEL Horror RPG demo

Local Designer Eden will be posted up to demo and playtest their new horror RPG.

Description: UNRAVEL: The Work is in Good Hands is a horror-mystery RPG set in 1970s Britain, in which you play as the unwilling agents of the Other Ministry: a mysterious organization that investigates supernatural phenomena for its own inscrutable purposes.

Characters risk injury and death in their struggles against the parapsychological and the sinister conspiracy that would manipulate it for their own ends, but they must also fight to hold their interior lives together against the ruinous effects of the stress they accumulate. A core theme of the game is the challenge of managing the important relationships, or “Tethers”, which tie characters to reality and keep them sane, balancing the need to draw on these for resilience in a moment of crisis against the threat of straining them to the point of breaking. Vulnerabilities lurk underneath, waiting to emerge at the worst possible time.

This playtest scenario revolves around the mysterious outbreak of an unknown paralytic illness tied to the renovation of a long-disused theatre. CW: Body horror, confinement, mental health themes
